On the afternoon of October 23, CNCC "the fourth China Japan South Korea (CJK) universal computing system research center for Ubiquitous Computing Systems (cubics) of the Institute of computing technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences" was hosted by the Institute of ubiquitous intelligence of the Institute of computing of the Chinese Academy of Sciences It is a basic, cutting-edge and cross cutting research department based on the original pervasive computing research center and integrating the object-side chip research group, sensor network laboratory and other entities.

The center undertakes the major task of the future planning of the Computing Institute - "object-side computing system". It is mainly committed to the research of object-side chip, system software, development environment, perceptual computing, intelligent interaction and other aspects, and has established a complete ubiquitous computing system research discipline.

The center has undertaken a number of major key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, national key R & D plans, strategic pilot projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other projects, and has achieved a series of important achievements. Relevant achievements have been published in science supplement, scientific reports, IEEE Trans and other international top academic journals, which have had a significant impact at home and abroad and won a number of national awards.

The center has established cooperative relations with world-famous universities and research institutions such as Princeton, the University of Tokyo and Carnegie Mellon, and strives to become a research team with international influence.

At present, the center has six scientific research teams:

Perceptual computing research group: make perception more intelligent based on artificial intelligence and machine learning. Its main research direction is pervasive computing and human-computer interaction. It carries out relevant forward-looking research around the theories, methods and technologies of pervasive computing and human-computer interaction, and carries out relevant application basic research based on the national strategy and the needs of people's livelihood.

Human computer interaction research group: make human-computer interaction more natural based on new interactive equipment and artificial intelligence technology. It mainly carries out the research on human-computer interaction technology for ubiquitous computing. Its research content is based on machine learning and artificial intelligence, focusing on the intelligent processing and analysis of audio, voice, image, video and sensor data, so as to realize intelligent human-computer interaction , especially the human-computer interaction system for medical health and the disabled.
